Good to know

What makes a fireplace install different.

Heat

A mantel or hood that deflects heat is ideal. If the wall above gets too hot to touch, we will say so before installing.

Height

Fireplace installs sit higher than eye level, so a tilting or pull-down style mount usually gives the most comfortable view.

Masonry

Brick and stone need masonry anchors and more drilling time; that is why they carry a surcharge.

A few things to know

Good questions.
Clear answers.

Is it safe to mount a TV above a fireplace?

Usually, yes, when the wall above the mantel stays cool enough to touch while the fire is lit. We check this during the visit and will recommend another spot if it is not.

Can you mount on brick or stone?

Yes. Brick and stone use masonry anchors. Stone and tile take longer and carry a larger surcharge, which the quote calculator adds automatically.

Which mount works best above a fireplace?

A tilting mount is the most common choice because it angles the screen down towards the seating. A full-motion mount also works on most walls.

Can the cables be hidden?

We offer a paintable surface cable cover. In-wall wiring and electrical work are not part of this service.
